Golden Globes 2016: nomination e vincitori

BOOM! Le nomination ai Golden Globes (GG) 2016 tirano in ballo praticamente chiunque e si dimenticano di tanti titoli (tv) che negli anni passati avevano fatto incetta. Una sorta di cambio della guardia di cui, francamente, si sentiva il bisogno. Della serie: era ora.
Ma non è tutto oro quel che luccica, sia chiaro. Innanzitutto c'è una certa atmosfera molto 90s di sottofondo, dato che tra i candidati ritroviamo Jamie Lee Curtis (per "Scream Queens") che di GG ne ha già ben 2 entrambi vinti negli anni '90 e nientemeno che il buon vecchio Sylvester Stallone (per il film "Creed") che a parte non vedersi riconoscere niente che non fosse un Razzie dai tempi di "Rocky", è da ormai un ventennio che non azzecca un titolo ("Mercenari" a parte, ma la magia la fa l'insieme di redivivi).
A parte le vecchie glorie resuscitate un po' a casaccio, anche quest'anno si verifica il fenomeno dello sdoppiamento: Idris Elba, Mark Rylance, Lily Tomlin e Alicia Vikander ricevono ben due nomination a testa, raddoppiando così la possibilità di portarsi a casa qualcosa. Grande assente dalle vittorie del 1988 del '91 torna Ryuichi Sakamoto (per "The Revenant") e, soprattutto, ritroviamo Ennio Morricone (per "The Hateful Eight"), già 2 volte vincitore e assente dal 2001. Sempre sul fronte Italia sono 2 le candidature per "Youth" di Paolo Sorrentino.
E ora le vere soprese. La prima e più eclatante di tutte è che Lady Gaga è stata candidata come Miglior attrice per "American Horror Story: Hotel". No, non avete letto male, anche io sono tutt'ora incredulo. La Germanotta si porta a casa la sua prima nomination ai globi d'oro e lo fa in grande stile, ricevendo il testimone direttamente da Jessica Lange che nella stessa categoria era candidata fino all'anno scorso (e che ha ampiamente espresso i suoi dubbi relativamente alle doti recitative della cantante). Francamente trovo questa mossa più una trovata pubblicitaria. Sul fronte cantanti che rispettano la loro vocazione, invece, troviamo Sam Smith (per "Spectre") e le canzoni "Love Me like You Do" ("Cinquanta sfumature di grigio") e "See You Again" ("Fast & Furious 7") che non trasferiscono le nomination ai rispettivi interpreti solo perché non compaiono nei credits delle canzoni (Ellie Goulding si starà mangiando le mani).
Nomination un po' a sorpresa per "Spy" e "Un disastro di ragazza", entrambi candidati come Miglior film e attrice protagonista: due scelte che non mi sarei mai aspettato, ma che apprezzo, soprattutto per quanto riguarda il primo. "The Martian" è presente nelle stessa categoria comica degli altri due: considerando che IMDb lo categorizza come film drammatico direi che abbiamo già capito che si tratta del solito modo alla "The Wolf of Wall Street" per non dimenticarci proprio di nessuno anche quest'anno. Personalmente lo avrei scambiato con "Mad Max: Fury Road", molto più appopriato nella categoria comedy, visto l'ironia e i toni.
Altre sorpresine inattese: Eva Green candidata per "Penny Dreadful" (finalmente); finalmente la seconda nomination in carriera di Kirsten Dunst per "Fargo" (yeah!); la seconda nomination consecutiva come Miglior serie comica per "Silicon Valley" che però per il resto non se la considerano di striscio (ma che senso ha?); Mark Ruffalo che infila la terza nomination in 2 anni, come se prima del 2015 non avesse avuto una carriera; Rachel McAdams, che finalmente aveva ricevuto una nomination importante proprio ieri per "Spotlight" viene oggi nuovamente ignorata dai GG (male); "Mad Men" finisce la sua corsa con una sola nomination per Jon Hamm (adieux).
Si potrebbe parlare per ore, ovviamente, dei pro e contro di queste candidature che, pur lasciando necessariamente scontento qualcuno, a me non sembrano così male. Chiaramente i Golden Globes si rivelano essere come al solito tra i premi più commerciali presenti nello showbiz americano, arruffianandosi praticamente la chiunque con una nomination. Saranno gli Oscar, tra più di un mese, a decretare con le proprie nomination dove starà la vera (?) qualità di questo 2015 che volge al termine. I Golden Globes, invece, si terranno ben 6 giorni prima che le candidature dell'Academy vengano rivelate (assurdità) e saranno nuovamente presentati da Ricky Gervais.
Ma bando alle (mie) ciance ed ecco tutte le candidature a questi Golden Globes 2016!
