In sintesi: costruito sulla base tecnica e visiva di alcuni precedenti prodotti Disney di successo - particolarmente "Alice in Wonderland" -, "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms" non riesce però a generare sufficiente magia o interesse rispetto ad un progetto che risulta esteticamente molto bello, ma narrativamente irrilevante. Manca di ritmo e, ancora peggio, di qualcosa originale da dire. E non basta l'atmosfera gioiosa e festiva del Natale a salvare tutta l'operazione.

Vale o non vale: Keira Knightley è insopportabile, Mackenzie Foy non particolarmente incisiva come protagonista e si ha la sensazione che il cast da sogno e la famosissima storia de "Lo schiaccianoci" di Čajkovskij siano assolutamente sprecati.

Intro: Not that I was too exited about watching this movie, yet still I was intrigued by its disaster movie vibes.

Briefly: not a really good movie, even though it tries hard to be entertaining and worth watching. It lacks on creativity and delivers a lower than average product that isn't good enough and it is surely forgettable. If you love disaster movies, "The Day After Tomorrow", "2012" or even "Armageddon" are better choices than "Geostorm". And, to be honest, Gerard Butler is not a good actor.
