Film 2150 - Triangle of Sadness

Intro: In vacanza tra Belgio e Olanda, la prima sera a Bruxelles ho deciso di regalarmi una capatina al cinema per recuperare il vincitore della Palma d'oro di quest'anno.

In sintesi: un film che è una scatola cinese, "Triangle of Sadness" comincia in un punto e finisce a uno totalmente opposto, in una serie di twist e sorprese difficilmente prevedibli.
In un mix tra "Titanic", "Below Deck", "Gosford Park" e/o "Downton Abbey", "Il signore delle mosche", "Lost" e persino "Old" di Shyamalan e la scena del vomito di "Piccola peste torna a far danni", questa pellicola ne ricorda tante altre, pur lasciando ben impresso il proprio marchio di fabbrica.
Tutto merito di una sceneggiatura sorprendentemente fuori dai canoni mainstream, nonché di un cast brillante inizialmente sorretto da un Harris Dickinson, sempre più lanciato, che poi passa il testimone a Woody Harrelson, che la fa da padrone nella parte centrale della storia, che a sua volta passa il testimone a una magnetica Dolly De Leon, che regala una performance indimenticabile, divertentissima e inaspettatamente vitale per il film. Probabilmente il suo è alla fine il ruolo che si ricorda di più (non a caso si parla di una possibile nomination all'Oscar per lei).
Per il resto il film è una vera e propria odissea raccontata in quasi 2 ore e mezza di durata. C'è il mondo della moda, quello degli influencer, i ricconi in crociera, serviti e servitori, una nave che cola a picco, un gruppo di sopravvissuti su una spiaggia deserta, la legge del più forte (o del più intelligente) e un finale shock che lascia lo spettatore con domande su cui interrogarsi. Il tutto farcito di uno humor che più nero non si può.
Sicuramente non un film facile e certamente non per tutti, ma "Triangle of Sadness" è una potentissima esperienza cinematografica che stupisce, fa riflettere e lascia decisamente un segno.

Box Office: $15.4 milioni
Vale o non vale: Non un film per tutte le occasioni e sicuramente non per tutti i palati, la pellicola di Ruben Östlund è tante cose, tranne che un prodotto scontato. Di nicchia per certi versi, eppure mainstream per molti altri (a partire dal cast), "Triangle of Sadness" è divertente e deprimente, farcito di momenti indimenticabili e un paio di performance che da sole valgono la visione.
Premi: Vincitore della Palma d'oro a Cannes 2022 come Miglior film.
