E si riparte: la stagione dei premi è di nuovo fra noi grazie ai 75esimi Golden Globes che prendono vita quest'oggi grazie all'annuncio delle candidature (film e tv) svelate nientemeno che da Sharon Stone, Alfre Woodard, Kristen Bell e Garrett Hedlund.
Come ogni anno non mancano le contraddizioni e le mancanze, le stranezze e le stramberie, il tutto per un calderone di pellicole e serie tv che l'HFPA tenta di far sottostare alle ormai obsolete macro categorie drama & musical or comedy, per un risultato troppo spesso dissonante. Ci teniamo, quindi, un horror nella categoria commedia ("Get Out") al pari del drammatico "I, Tonya", entrambi in gara per Miglior film ed altro ancora; ma ci facciamo anche andare bene le due candidature alla seconda stagione di "The Crown" di fatto uscita 2 giorni fa. Completamente rinnovata la categoria Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy che cestina tutte tranne una le nominate dell'edizione precedente, per poi andare a candidare Alison Brie per quell'insipido di "GLOW". Per la serie bei ricordi, tornati all'appello "Will & Grace" e il suo protagonista e nientemeno che Kyle MacLachlan di "Twin Peaks" che non vedeva una nomination dal 1991 e per la stessa serie. Sul fronte regia di pellicole come al solito ci si è dimenticati delle donne, Greta Gerwig in testa con il suo "Lady Bird" che sta facendo sfacelo tra pubblico e critica (pur candidato in 4 categorie); nella stessa categoria, per l'ennesima volta, non ce l'ha fatta nemmeno Luca Guadagnino... Una sola candidatura per "Baby Driver" (FURTO) grazie alla grandissima performance di Ansel Elgort, niente nemmeno per "Wind River" e "Blade Runner 49" e, ammetto la delusione, "Wonder Woman". Questi ultimi due sicuramente fra Oscars e BAFTA riusciranno a tirare su qualche candidatura tecnica.
Ma bando alle ciance: tra meno di un mese, il 7 gennaio per la precisione, si terrà la cerimonia dei Golden Globes 2018 e sarà presentata per la prima volta da Seth Meyers. E ora... le nomination!
