HollywoodCiak sul red-carpet degli Oscar 2014

Sono finito anche io sul red-carpet degli Oscar 2014 grazie a #MyOscarPhoto che, via Twitter, mi ha immortalato sul tappeto rosso assieme a Ed Begley Jr. ("Six Feet Under", "Arrested Development - Ti presento i miei").

Oscars 2012: i vincitori

Ed è fatta: tutte le statuette sono state consegnate e, strano ma vero, è stata l'edizione più noiosa che io ricordi. Non c'era molto da dire né molto da vedere. E, soprattutto, nessuna sorpresa.

Stagione all'insegna del passato, premiazione che non è da meno. Vincono divi attempati e signori del muto in bianco e nero. Non affascina e non brilla per alcuna particolarità, questa 84esima edizione degli Academy Awards che si è tenuta poco più di 24ore fa all'Hollywood & Highland Center Theatre di Los Angeles.
Poche previsioni sfumate e, troppe azzeccate. Io non sono un indovino, eppure un buonissimo numero di vincitori l'ho centrato. Un caso? Ma andiamo a vedere nel dettaglio... (Per il commento sulla cerimonia in sé rimando qui: "Oscar 2012: something went wrong")
Per accorciare la lista lascerò solamente i nomi di chi avevo votato e l'effettivo vincitore. Come sempre il meccanismo è il seguente: chi secondo me vincerà (*) e chi vorrei veder trionfare (§). Il punteggio si calcola allo stesso modo:

Oscar 2012: le nomination

Il 24 gennaio le nomination, il 26 febbraio la cerimonia. L'84esima edizione degli Academy Awards comincia a prendere corpo. Annunciata oggi la lunga lista dei nominati, attendiamo di scoprire chi sarà, finalmente, vincitore.

Inutile dire che qualche sorpresa c'è stata. Innanzitutto, in positivo, le 3 candidature per "The Tree of Life" di Terrence Malick che non vedeva una nomination dai tempi de "La sottile linea rossa" (era il 1999)...; a seguire le due di "Una separazione" (film straniero - Iran - e sceneggiatura) e le assolutamente inaspettate presenze in cinquina di Nick Nolte per "Warrior" e Max von Sydow per "Molto forte, incredibilmente vicino" (non protagonista), Demián Bichir per "A Better Life" (attore protagonista), Rooney Mara per "Millennium - Uomini che odiano le donne" (attrice protagonista). Outsider assoluta e candidatura più imprevedibile di tutte per la Melissa McCarthy di "Le amiche della sposa" (per lei un grandioso anno: appena vinto l'Emmy nel 2011 come Miglior attrice comica per "Mike & Molly"); bellissima sorpresa la nomination di Gary Oldman per "La talpa": erano anni che l'attore si meritava quantomeno una menzione in cinquina; benissimo anche Woody Allen che con il suo "Midnight in Paris" torna agli Oscar prepotentemente (film, regia, sceneggiatura e scenografia) a 6 anni dall'ultima nomination per "Match Point". Ma l'ultima candidatura alla regia risale a "Pallottole su Broadway" nel 1995...; cambiamenti radicali nelle categorie Miglior film d'animazione (dai soliti 3 film a 5 - due pellicole praticamente sconosciute "Une vie de chat" e "Chico & Rita" -) e Miglior canzone originale (da 3 soliti candidati a 2: "Rio" e "I Muppet"): non si capisce il motivo di questi cambiamenti.
Altre inaspettate sorprese sono:
- le 11 candidature di "Hugo Cabret". O è un capolavoro o qualcosa non torna. Staremo a vedere; - il ritorno, ovviamente solo in categorie tecniche, della saga potteriana. "Harry Potter e i doni della morte: Parte 2" guadagna 3 nomination (scenografia, trucco ed effetti speciali). Staremo a vedere se la saga riuscirà ad aggiudicarsi il suo primo Oscar in dieci anni di produzioni; - le 3 nomination nelle categorie attoriali (su 4 candidature totali) della pellicola "The Help". In lizza Viola Davis, Jessica Chastain e Octavia Spencer (che ha appena vinto il Golden Globe per questo ruolo); - sul fronte tecnico l'Academy si è sbizzarrita. Nelle varie categorie - anche con una sola candidatura - troviamo tantissimi titoli che variano un po' la monotonia dei candidati ai premi più importanti (facile intuire che i grandi protagonisti di questa edizione 2012 saranno "The Artist" e "Hugo Cabret"). Ecco quindi "Jane Eyre", "L'alba del pianeta delle scimmie", "Real Steel", "Drive", "Transformers 3", "Le avventure di Tintin: Il segreto dell'Unicorno", "Edward e Wallis: Il mio regno per una donna", "Anonymous" e "War Horse" (che però è anche candidato a Miglior film).
Ma ora lascio all'elenco di tutte le categorie con tutti i fortunati candidati. Sempre, ovviamente, tentando di indovinare quali saranno i trionfatori di questa ottantaquattresima edizione degli Oscar. Punterò sia su chi secondo me vincerà (*) che su chi vorrei veder trionfare (§). Il punteggio si calcola sempre allo stesso modo:
