Grammy Awards 2018: nomination e vincitori

The 60th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on January 28, 2018.
The CBS network will broadcast the show live from the Madison Square Garden in New York City. It will be the first time since 2003 that the ceremony is held outside Los Angeles (where the Staples Center had been the home of the Grammys since 2004).

Golden Globes 2017: nomination e vincitori

Le nomination per i Golden Globes 2017 sono state appena annunciate e già danno il polso della situazione "cerimonie & premi" che si prospetta per il prossimo anno. Sorta di ibrido sia dal punto di vista dei media interessati (cinema+televisione) sia da quello del tempismo (gli Oscar, per il cinema, sono a marzo, mentre gli Emmy, per la tv, sono a settembre, mentre el nomination ai Golden Globe sono addirittura a dicembre dell'anno precedente l'edizione in corso), i globi dorati sono i premi conferiti al cinema americano dalla stampa estera, talvolta dimostrando di non essere in grado di restare al passo coi tempi.
Le nomination, quest'anno presentate da Don Cheadle, Laura Dern e Anna Kendrick, vedono "La La Land" e "Moonlight" contendersi il maggior numero di premi, rispettivamente con 7 e 6 candidature; Meryl Streep riceverà il premio alla carriera (che festeggia insieme alla sua 30esima candidatura officiale per "Florence Foster Jenkins") e la cerimonia di premiazione che decreterà ufficialmente i vicnitori sarà, invece, presentata da Jimmy Fallon l'8 gennaio 2017.

SAG Awards 2016: nomination e vincitori

Prima i Grammys, adesso i SAG Awards, domani i Golden Globes: la stagione delle premiazioni 2016 prende ufficialmente il via in questa prima metà di dicembre sparandosi non poche importanti cartucce.
Anche se sarà quella di domani la giornata fatidica di questa fine 2015 - le nomination all'Oscar saranno annunciate il 14 gennaio 2016 -, non si può non tenere conto di questo premio che, in 22 edizioni fino ad oggi, ha detto la sua su cinema e televisione premiando gli attori sulla base dei voti dei loro pari.
Gli Screen Actors Guild Award, che si terranno sabato 30 gennaio 2016, come i globi d'oro suddividono entrambe le caterie cinematografica e televisiva in drammatica e comica, per cui il numero di vincitori si raddoppia e quello dei nominati si moltiplica esponenzialmente... Presentati qualche ora fa da Anna Faris e Anthony Mackie, ecco chi sono i candidati di quest'anno.

Film 742 - Tutte contro lui

Film 742: "Tutte contro lui" (2014) di Nick Cassavetes

Pensieri: Attendevo dalla giterella Pasquale a New York di vederlo (usciva il 25 aprile lì), perché una commedia con Cameron Diaz, di solito riesce sempre a strappare qualche risata... E infatti ho riso un sacco!
Volgare, scurrile, sciocco e con lieto fine annesso, eppure in grado di divertire e far ridere quasi alle lacrime gli spettatori, principalmente grazie ad un alano e la sua padrona pazza in fase di emancipazione Leslie Mann. Quest'ultima è la vera mattatrice, protagonista morale di tutta la pellicola e potente magnete catalizzatore per tutta la durata del film. Di solito non la sopporto - lavora troppo spesso con il marito Judd Apatow - ma qui è stata una vera rivelazione che ho amato dall'inizio alla fine. La Diaz ci prova a stare al passo, ma un po' per colpa del suo personaggio, un po' perché la Mann è davvero travolgente, è impossibile anche solo tentare il paragone. Presente anche la modella Kate Upton nei panni di quella stupidina del trio, ma tanto buona e tanto bella. Se devo essere sincero, però, riguardo all'ultimo punto non sono poi così d'accordo. In ogni caso il trio di nuove amiche si formerà per combattere l'uomo che tutte e tre amano e che le ha prese e sta prendendo in giro contemporaneamente: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. Esatto, proprio lo sterminatore di re di "Game of Thrones" finisce, qui, per essere messo spalle al muro da tre delle sue donne più ferite.
Al di là del pretesto della trama che non è certo tra i più originali, "The Other Woman" è comunque un prodotto che riesce nell'intento di far divertire ben oltre la media solita di pellicole del genere. Il trio di amicizia & follia funziona, le torture inflitte al fedifrago sono davvero divertenti e l'emancipazione del personaggio della Mann vale da sola la visione. Ho onestamente apprezzato.

Consigli: Tra il cast, oltre ai già citati, compaiono anche Don Johnson, la rapper Nicki Minaj e il fidanzato di Lady Gaga Taylor Kinney, riprova del fatto che l'intento commerciale di questa commedia è stato ampiamente perseguito, cercando di andare a parare un po' in ogni ambito. Risultato riuscito e, comunque, prodotto commerciale cui vale la pena di dare una chance in queste (più o meno) calde serate estive! Divertente, irriverente, pazzo.

Film 608 - Silent Hill: Revelation 3D

Fan del primo film, non potevo certo perdermi il secondo episodio!

Pensieri: Se il primo "Silent Hill" (del 2006) era stata una piacevolissima sorpresa, questo secondo capitolo partorito a troppi anni di distanza è una boiata inutile e banale.
La trama fatica a stare in piedi, è di una superficialità disarmante e non fa paura. Più che altro fa un po' disgusto, ma finita lì. Le 'trovate' della sceneggiatura non legano insieme e finiscono per far sembrare il tutto un puzzle privo di un'idea narrativa di base che aiuti a dare un senso a tutto il progetto.
Si ha spesso la sensazione, infatti, che non ci sia continuità nel racconto e che molti episodi, oltre ad essere esteticamente accattivanti, non abbiano altra ragione di essere raccontati.
Questo grave errore di fondo affossa completamente "Silent Hill: Revelation 3D", non solo incapace di eguagliare un primo capitolo interessante e ben realizzato - nonostante il finale -, ma anche banalmente realizzato ed evidentemente prodotto con il solo scopo di lucro. Il 3D, neanche a dirlo, è estremamente superfluo, come lo è, del resto, accendere le sinapsi pensando che ciò che si sta per vedere segua quantomeno un filo logico.
Niente, questo film è solo brutto e vagamente in grado di evocare quelle atmosfere che nel primo episodio erano risultate tanto accattivanti (la città immersa nella nebbia, la trasformazione degli ambienti al suono della campana d'allarme). Non bastasse, i due protagonisti Adelaide Clemens e Kit Harington (sì, Jon Snow de "Il trono di spade" qui alla sua prima prova cinematografica) a livello recitativo sono qualcosa di imbarazzante.
Ps. Nonostante l'evidente bassa qualità di questo prodotto tratto dal videogioco "Silent Hill 3", il film ha comunque incassato $52,370,559 al botteghino mondiale (20 milioni per produrlo).
Pps. Tra il cast - sorprendentemente - anche Malcolm McDowell e Carrie-Anne Moss. Appare in un veloce cameo Radha Mitchell, protagonista del precedente episodio. Nel ruolo del padre, invece, Sean Bean che, sempre ne "Il trono di spade", è nientemeno che il padre dell'illegittimo Jon Snow.

Consigli: Questo secondo episodio si può placidamente evitarlo. Decisamente meglio il primo film, su tutti i fronti!
