Film 2421 - Ocean's Eight

Intro: One (late) morning we were all at home, looking for something to watch together while having breakfast. Netflix's catalogue suggested this one.

Film 2421
: "Ocean's Eight" (2018), Gary Ross
Watched: From the TV
Language: English
Watched with: Yegor, Gigi
Thoughts: I think "Ocean's Eight" is a fun watch. I love the cast, the story is engaging, and the heist is elaborate enough to be entertaining and a real spectacle.
The chemistry between all the protagonists is great, the fashion is on point, and this movie positions itself perfectly within the "Ocean's" franchise as a solid reboot for the series and sequel in general.
More on-screen banter between Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett in the future would be greatly appreciated by yours truly.
Film 1647 - Ocean's Eight
Film 1800 - Ocean's 8
Film 2421 - Ocean's Eight
Cast: Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Richard Armitage, James Corden, Dakota Fanning.
Box Office: $297.8 million
Worth a watch?: A fun watch, "Ocean's Eight" delivers both easy entertainment and amazing cast chemistry between all the talented actresses. It should have been even more successful than it ended up being.

Film 1800 - Ocean's 8

Risultato finale molto glam, molto fashion e molto godibile.
Film 1647 - Ocean's Eight
Film 1800 - Ocean's 8
Film 2421 - Ocean's Eight
Cast: Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Richard Armitage, James Corden, Dakota Fanning.
Box Office: $297.7 milioni

Lingua: inglese
Compagnia: Fre
In sintesi: i critici non lo hanno particolarmente adorato, ma devo dire che a me questo "Ocean's 8" è piaciuto. Ammetto che il film presenta un insieme di elementi che approvo particolarmente: Cate Blanchett (e in generale il resto del cast); la storia tutta al femminile; l'elemento avventura collegato al tema centrale del film, la rapina; l'inattesa location del Met Gala e il connesso dietro le quinte. Poi no, in generale non si tratta di un capolavoro, ma credo renda giustizia alla trilogia originale di cui questo titolo vuole essere spin-off e continuazione;
le protagoniste sono particolarmente affiatate e ho trovato che Helena Bonham Carter si sia davvero messa in gioco con l'interpretazione proposta qui. Bullock e Blanchett sempre in parte, Hathaway finalmente di nuovo in rotta, Paulson trova una collocazione ad Hollywood che vada oltre la "micro" spalla e Kaling si difende bene nell'affollata arena di star. Bene anche Rihanna (che si riscatta dalla sue precedenti "fatiche") e l'allora sconosciuta ai più Awkwafina (poi esplosa con "Crazy Rich Asians";
Film 1647 - Ocean's Eight
Film 1800 - Ocean's 8
Film 2421 - Ocean's Eight
Cast: Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Richard Armitage, James Corden, Dakota Fanning; (cameo) Elliott Gould, Qin Shaobo, Marlo Thomas, Dana Ivey, Mary Louise Wilson, Elizabeth Ashley, Anna Wintour, Zayn Malik, Katie Holmes, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Common, Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid, Olivia Munn, Jaime King, Zac Posen, Hailey Bieber, Sofia Richie, Heidi Klum.
Box Office: $297.7 milioni

Lingua: italiano
Compagnia: nessuno
In sintesi: in realtà non è così terribile come tutti hanno detto. Non so dire se rifletta o meno il lavoro dei creatori del fumetto francesce ("Valérian and Laureline" scritto da Pierre Christin e illustrato da Jean-Claude Mézières), di sicuro quello che ho visto per quanto riguarda la versione cinematografica non mi ha negativamente colpito come non mi ha positivamente stupito. Un prodotto fatto per essere spettacolare, colorato, veloce. Manca sicuramente di originalità, un taglio più personale, ma per il resto siamo nella media;
non credo che portare Rihanna ancora sullo schermo aiuti. Non c'è un suo film che sia stato un vero successo, sempre messi flop. Penso sia erroneo ritenere che sia in grado di richiamare gente al cinema come, invece, riesce a fare negli stadi;
Cast: Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne, Clive Owen, Rihanna, Ethan Hawke, Herbie Hancock, Kris Wu, Rutger Hauer, John Goodman, Elizabeth Debicki, Ola Rapace, Mathieu Kassovitz.
Box Office: $225.9 milioni

Film 1002 - Home - A casa

Ps. Tratto dal libro per ragazzi "The True Meaning of Smekday" di Adam Rex.
Cast: Jim Parsons, Rihanna, Steve Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Matt Jones.
Box Office: $387.5 milioni

Parola chiave: Alieni.

MTV Movie Awards 2014: nomination e vincitori

Film 613 - Facciamola finita

Lingua: italiano
Compagnia: Luigi
Pps.
Parola chiave: Satana.

Film 455 - Katy Perry: Part of Me

Film 455: "Katy Perry: Part of Me" (2012) di Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz
Visto: al cinema
Lingua: inglese
Compagnia: nessuno
Pensieri: Correva l'anno 2011 e Miss.
Detto ciò, a me chiaramente "Katy Perry: Part of Me" è piaciuto.
Parafrasando: "I just wanna make people smile").
Film 1078 - Katy Perry: The Prismatic World Tour
Consigli: Per i veri fan.
Parola chiave: Teenage Dream.

Film 408 - Battleship

Ps.
Consigli: Chi apprezza i film tratti dai prodotti Hasbro (Transformers e G.I.
