Imbarazzante mancanza quella di Julianna Margulies - vincitrice l'anno scorso! - e del suo magnifico telefilm "The Good Wife" nuovamente scartato dalla rosa delle migliori serie drammatiche: scandalo. E, a proposito di scandali, manca anche Kerry Washington dopo due nomination consecutive, ma non solo: tutte le attrici (tranne la Aduba) di "Orange is the New Black" che dopo l'exploit dell'anno scorso è stato ampiamente ridimensionato - per non parlare del fatto che lo hanno spostato dalle serie comedy alla categoria drama (e qui bisognerebbe aprire centomila parentesi e lanciare qualche anatema contro i cretini che incasellano le serie) -, in toto "True Detective" attualmente in onda e "Master of Sex" che si deve accontentare di Allison Janney come Guest Actress in a Drama (dove però l'anno scorso ha vinto).
Poi, finalmente, ci eravamo liberati di "Breaking Bad" e tutta la scia di premi che si portava a casa ed eccoci, a un anno di distanza, con il suo spin-off già tra i candidati di quest'anno (Miglior serie drammatica, Miglior attore, Miglior attore non protagonista e Miglior sceneggiatura): francamente mi auguro che non comincino a dargli un premio dopo l'altro, altrimenti non se ne esce. Come, spero, la smettano di premiare solo Jessica Lange per "American Horror Story" che di Emmy ne ha già 3 (di cui due solo per "AHS")... Sarebbe ora, invece, di riconoscere qualche merito a Sarah Paulson.
Per finire - ma ci sarebbe ancora molto, molto da dire - qualche ultima considerazione veloce: Christine Baranski avrebbe dovuto vincere un Emmy per "The Good Wife" da almeno 5 anni (ma credo quest'anno sarà battuta da Joanne Froggatt per "Downton Abbey" che ha già vinto il Golden Globe a gennaio); Jane Krakowski non ha mai vinto per "30 Rock", ma si meriterebbe il suo premio finalmente per "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" come si merita assolutamente di vincere Tituss Burgess per lo stesso geniale telefilm; Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie quest'anno è una delle categorie più difficili; Amy Poehler vinci vinci vinci! (lo ribadisco, magari porta fortuna); "House of Cards" ha avuto stagioni migliori, ma sarebbe davvero ora che riconoscessero seriamente il valore di questa serie, partendo dall'Emmy a Robin Wright; dopo tutta la polemica sul razzismo per la mancata nomination all'Oscar per "Selma", sarà mica che daranno l'Emmy a David Oyelowo tipo premio di consolazione...?; William H. Macy e Felicity Huffman sono sposati... ed entrambi candidati quest'anno!; Jeffrey Tambor dovrebbe essere vincitore annunciato; troppo poco una sola nomination per "The Knick", una delle serie tv più interessanti dell'anno (come, a quanto pare, "Empire", rimasto a secco di candidature e, a detta di molti, vera sorpresa della stagione... Dovrò recuperarlo!). Insomma, gli Emmy 2015 per quanto mi riguarda non sono partiti con il piede giusto. Solite candidature per i soliti, pochissime new entry e molto da migliorare (si spera durante la premiazione). La cerimonia sarà presentata da Andy Samberg e si terrà il 20 settembre.
